Firsts.

So, I was thinking, I'm experiencing so many firsts right now. [If you are unsure of what I mean in my specific case you can see the post below for further clarification.]
Aren't firsts amazing things? I know many firsts seem insignificant, such as, your first blog post or your first day of your senior year. But think about some of your favorite firsts. Your first time at the beach, your first kiss, your first child; our lives are so full of important firsts. I can't wait to be a mother and watch my child grow. To pray for their first time to sleep through the night and their first tooth, their first steps, their first word, their first birthday. There are so many firsts that we want, we plan on, and we wish for. To travel to a new country for the first time, meet a person for the first time, go on a first date, or buy your first home. But what about the firsts that we try so hard to avoid? The first death you've experienced, the first accident you've been in, the first time you're heart has been broken, or your first speeding ticket.
Firsts are amazing things to me. They are these occurrences that happen each and every day, some come grandly while others simply pass by. Some are happy and some are tragic. So today think about your firsts. Think about the beauty that surrounds each one. Think about the lesson you were taught. May many firsts teach you.
